50 Liter Bag of Blonde Peat

21.00 inc.

Short description

Blonde peat is one of the ideal substrates for growing hydrangeas. No more heather soil, blonde peat will do the trick. Why? Because peat will better structure the soil and retain moisture. If you have very heavy soil or, conversely, very draining soil, then blonde peat will be essential in your planting mix.

For your information, a good mix is 1/3 blonde peat, 1/3 planting soil, and 1/3 topsoil in a planting hole that is 60 cm deep and 60 cm in diameter. In pots, the same proportions apply.

It depends on the space you have available. For a balcony or small terrace, opt for a compact variety (40 to 80 cm). In the ground, classic hydrangeas can reach 1.5 to 2 meters in height.

You can keep them in pots for a few weeks after purchase, provided you water them well. For good long-term development, it is recommended to replant them in the ground or in a larger pot within the following month.
